15 in 5: Good News Lived Out

1 Thessalonians 1:5
Ever had one of those days where it seems that absolutely everything that can go wrong is going wrong? It is one of those horrific moments where you just want to jump in your car and turn up the radio to full blast to drown out the headache of all the chaos, roll down the windows to allow the fresh air to purge all the gloom that is making great efforts to suck the life right out of you, and put the pedal to the metal and get out of dodge as fast as you can! It’s in that moment of chaos, frustration and disgust that you must stop for just a second, take a deep breath, and realize the entire situation is a test.  If God brought you to it, He’ll definitely get you through it.

It’s really quite simple, actually it’s a compliment. Listen closely; all powers of evil and darkness have peeked into your future, quite an abundant future at that! The abundant blessings and anointing that is upon your life has threatened satan. He is running scared. He has called a full-fledged war against you to discourage you from walking in your divine destiny. When you imitate Christ, you carry His light in this dark world. Every moment of every day God is using you to show and tell others of His goodness; you are His vessel here on earth. Oh the devil, he knows the GOOD news that you bring and he will stop at nothing to cause a distraction that will take you off your appointed course.

It’s imperative to understand that the Gospel is only good news if it gets there on time! Law enforcement officers and fire fighters are constantly performing goods works, but only if they get there in time. A fire fighter late to a fire no longer has to battle the fire to save the structure that is burning; a late response to a fire becomes a hazardous cleanup effort. If you have a health emergency and the medics arrive too late, there is nothing the medics can do to personally treat the deceased. It’s the same way with the Word.  The Good News is helpful only if it arrives on time.

As you go about your day, don’t allow the distractions of life to take you off course. You are CHURCH every moment of every day. Be The One to stay on track, persevere, and be diligent. Walk the path of righteousness not veering to the left or right and please do not get caught in the past. Look ahead, run your race, and share the Gospel with your words and actions. Will you get there in time?

Prayer Point:
·  Thank God that He has graced you to experience victory in your daily walk
·  Thank Him that His timing is always perfect
·   Ask God for His direction and breakthrough upon your  life
·   Pray for direction so that you may keep strong with the Full Armor of God
