A Supernatural Blueprint
1 Thessalonians 1:4-7
Regardless of your age or gender, as a child we all admired super-hero characters with bionic and superhuman strengths, abilities and gifts that we imitated. For some of us it was playing outside after school or during recess with your friends and you pretended to turn you into Steve Austin, the Six Million Dollar Man or the Bionic Woman. Others played outside under the hot rays of the summer sun as your vivid imagination transformed you into Wonder Woman, Super-Man, Spider-Man, The Powder Puff Girls, or one of Charlie’s beautiful and fearless Angel(s). Regardless of the year or character, it was your mission to conquer the evil villains. Whether you played Cops and Robbers, Cowboys and Indians, you had an innate desire to defeat evil and protect all that is innocent and good. You may have thought you were only pretending, but in all actuality you were preparing yourself for your blueprint in the Kingdom; it is more than a special mission, it’s your calling!
You have a supernatural blueprint and DNA that is directly grafted from God. When Jesus engineered the church, He did so with the blueprint of every individual (including you) to steward and demonstrate a transforming message. It states in Mark 16:15 (ESV), you are ordered to go into the world and spread the gospel to all creation. You are to become imitators of the Lord, having received your assigned gifts and wisdom from the Holy Spirit… as a result you became an example to all the believers (I Thessalonians 1:6-7, ESV).
You are a new species of human! As a born again believer, you are more than qualified and equipped to be a Kingdom Person. You have a supernatural blueprint and DNA. It’s all or nothing. When you are born into the church you can’t escape it… Why would you want to?
Your gifts and wisdom is not just to be activated while you congregate in church with other believers. You are church every second of every minute of every day. Your supernatural DNA and blueprint entitles you to supernatural gifts, wisdom, power, authority and an incredible identity. You can’t follow Jesus and escape your identity of the church. You are the church!
As you go about your day today, stir up your gifts. Mowing the lawn, shopping at the store, in the lunchroom, or at school, you are church. Recognize that you are bigger than you think you are. You can only imitate what you are willing to demonstrate… Will you BE THE ONE?
Prayer Points for the Day:
- Praise God for blessing you with grace, mercy, strength and unsearchable wisdom.
- Ask God to guide you that you may be a reflection of Jesus to the world.
- Thank God for allowing you to be a witness to the reality of Christ's presence.
- Declare that your day is filled with overflow of peace, health, wholeness and provision.
